Heathcliff, a foundling, is taken in by the affluent Earnshaws in Yorkshire, only to later turn against his adoptive family with a burning desire for revenge.
Young Catherine discovers the sons of wealthy Heathcliff on the Earnshaw estate, including charming but sickly cousin Hareton, and manly Hareton, who are heartlessly scorned and abused.
