In 1920s Chicago, Al Capone seizes the opportunity to dominate the lucrative bootleg market. With his ruthless right-hand man Frank Nitti, he unites local crime lords and creates a powerful crime syndicate. Through bribery and violence, Capone seems above the law. However, his gang's actions enrage the US President, leading to a decision to bring Capone to justice. US Treasury agent Eliot Ness is tasked with taking him down, but finds the local police corrupt. Ness assembles "The Untouchables," an elite team of agents immune to Capone's intimidation. The team's efforts to disrupt Capone's empire escalate into a personal, frustrating, and destructive war.
