A curious and adventurous alien youngster crash-lands on Earth, only to be welcomed and cared for by a group of friendly and curious human children.
A holiday to Tarawera Volcano takes a dramatic turn for Jenny when she discovers a mysterious metal fragment, part of the "Fire Key". Unintentionally, she awakens someone who had been dormant for a century. As she learns that local teenagers Tessa and Lloyd also possess pieces of the key, the trio finds themselves entangled in a terrifying series of events.
