A different conclusion to Steins;Gate, starting with eccentric mad scientist Okabe attempting to rescue Kurisu but failing. He decides to give up on his alter ego, aiming to forget the past. When everything seems normal, Okabe is unexpectedly pulled back into the past by meeting someone from Kurisu's acquaintance who reveals they're testing a device that stores human memories and creates simulated versions of them with their traits and personalities. Okabe discovers this device has brought new sadness and unexpected tragedies back to Kurisu's life.
