Sotobamura is a small village with approximately 1300 residents; it’s so isolated that it isn’t even connected to any single highway. The village remains deeply rooted in tradition, practicing old customs like burying the dead. One day, three bodies are discovered, leading Ozaki Toshio, the lone doctor in the village, to treat their deaths as a common occurrence. However, strange events begin to unfold: more villagers start dying one after another.
