Inuyasha background

Inuyasha

A teenage girl travels back in time to feudal Japan to aid a young half-demon in retrieving the fragments of a powerful jewel.

Kagome Higurashi, a 15-year-old schoolgirl, is transported back in time to the 15th century after falling into a well on her family's shrine. She discovers she is the reincarnation of Kikyo, a priestess who sealed away the half-demon Inuyasha 50 years prior. Kagome befriends Kaede, Kikyo's sister, and learns that the Shikon no Tama, a powerful jewel, is inside her body.
