During World War II, Paramount contractees appeared in United Artists' films due to a production shortage caused by the loss of studios in England. United Artists acquired several Paramount productions, including this film, to meet their exhibitor contracts. The movie follows a group of young, struggling actors who share an apartment and finances. Despite their leader's rule against romantic relationships, two of the actors are secretly married. When a friend discovers their living arrangement, they threaten to expose it to the actors' wealthy father, prompting the group to quickly move out. However, one of the actors returns home unexpectedly, leading to a chaotic scene where the girls accuse him of being a burglar. The downstairs producer becomes involved, adding to the comedic mayhem.
Young and Willing
The film is a Paramount production that was sold to United Artists in the early 1940s, providing an explanation for the frequent appearances of Paramount contractees in UA films during the war years.
