Belle Andrews, a former gambler, loses everything in the Chicago fire and accepts an invitation from Jim Farrel to open a casino in Powder River, Montana. However, Farrel's true intentions are to control the land by hiring claim jumpers to file fraudulent claims, which the settlers overlook. On the way to Powder River, they meet Wild Bill Hickok, who later helps the settlers fight back against Farrel's schemes after he frames Ned Nolan for murder.
