Ex- Coast Guardsman Jim Benson takes a gamble on a fishing charter to avoid losing his boat, only to find himself stranded in a small Mexican port with a loudmouthed drunk, Shanks, and his companion, Sally. The trio forms an unlikely bond and finds shelter with a local innkeeper, Alfonso.
