On a ship owned by the wealthy "Pilgrim" Charles Stewart, a carefree playboy finds himself unexpectedly forced to serve under the harsh command of Captain Thompson. As scurvy spreads among the crew, the playboy seizes the opportunity to lead a mutiny, but is promptly captured and locked in irons. The crew's subsequent rebellion is marked by brutal floggings and torture, ultimately leading to a descent into chaos and anarchy.
