In this Western drama, a notorious outlaw named Leon Alastray seeks refuge with a priest, Father John, and later accompanies him to the deserted village of San Sebastian. The village is plagued by Indian raids, and the residents are too afraid to defend themselves. When Father John is brutally murdered, the villagers mistakenly believe Leon is the priest, and an apparent miracle convinces them of their error. As Leon tries to clear his name, he helps the villagers regain their courage and fight back against their tormentors.
