Through a Glass Darkly

A family gathers at their summer home on a Swedish island to celebrate the return of the father from the Swiss Alps, where he was working on his latest novel. The family's dynamics are complex, with the father's extended absences causing tension and the children struggling with their own emotions and desires. The 17-year-old son, Minus, is particularly vulnerable, grappling with his feelings towards women and struggling to understand his father's distant behavior. Meanwhile, the mother, who has recently been released from a mental institution, begins to lose touch with reality, affecting her relationships with her family members.
