Eddie and his friend Soapy embark on a mission to track down the notorious Tioga Kid, a mysterious outlaw who bears an uncanny resemblance to Eddie, and put an end to his nefarious activities plaguing local ranchers.

The 1949 western film "The Tioga Kid" is a remake of the 1946 movie "Driftin' River", featuring slight plot changes. The story follows Eddie Dean, a hero who discovers he has an identical twin brother working with outlaws. The film reuses many elements from the original, including songs, character names, and even some footage.
