Abandoned by her mother at a young age, Molly Louvain is determined to live respectably with her sweetheart Ralph, but when their plans fall through, she sets out on a journey with Nicky Grant, a small-time crook from her past. After years of working as a hostess and leaving her daughter in the care of another woman, Molly reunites with her old friend Jimmy and gets caught up in a crime spree.
