Henry VI, a young king, ascends to the throne after the early death of his father, with the duke of Gloucester serving as his protector. However, he remains oblivious to the fact that there are other individuals, including Plantagent of York, who also claim the right to rule.

Henry VI, a young king, inherits the throne after his father's death, with the duke of Gloucester's protection. However, rival claimants, Plantagent of York and Somerset of Lancaster, emerge, leading to the Wars of the Roses. Henry tries to unite the factions in the Hundred Years War, capturing Joan of Arc, and marries Margaret of Anjou to unite England and France, but without a dowry, angering the court.
