Richard Duke of Gloucester, the youngest brother of King Edward IV, will do whatever it takes to claim the throne. He convinces the ailing King that his elder brother, the Duke of Clarence, poses a threat to the young princes, and has him imprisoned and eventually murdered. With the King's death, Richard becomes Lord Protector and rules England until his nephew, King Edward V, comes of age. However, before the coronation, Richard has the two boys taken to the Tower, where he and his accomplice, the Duke of Buckingham, argue over whether to kill them.
