Simon agrees to send a rare pharaoh mummy from Cairo to his friend, Professor Horatio Bitts, an archeology expert at Keystone University. The professor's daughter catches Simon's eye, but their budding romance is threatened when a ruthless gang leader, Duke Bates, uses the mummy to smuggle diamonds. After Bates murders a jewel cutter and the professor, Simon becomes the prime suspect, even to his friend, Inspector Fernack.
