Jake Cardigan is awoken from cryogenic punishment after 15 years to find a world dominated by the highly addictive electronic drug Tek. His wife and son are gone, and he's determined to find them and clear his name after being wrongly imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit. Jake teams up with his ex-partner Sid Gomez to work for the mysterious Bascom, owner of the Cosmos security corporation. Their first case is to locate a missing scientist who may have developed a Tek-destroying crystal.
