In 1966, the Spanish Army constructed a massive cemetery in Burgos, featuring 5000 graves, for the final scene of "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly". After filming, the site was abandoned, and for nearly five decades, nature reclaimed the tombs. In 2015, a group of enthusiasts began excavating, uncovering the original paved circle beneath a thin layer of soil. Over the following months, people from across Europe flocked to Sad Hill, working together to unearth and restore the iconic location.
