Tom Kirk, the adopted son of murdered Indian Agent Joe Kirk, sets out to avenge his father's death, tracking down the killer with determination. His investigation leads him to Honest John, a gambler found with Joe's ring, but it's revealed that the ring was actually lost on the floor during a card game with Crandall, the true perpetrator. Crandall eliminates Honest John to maintain his secret, but Tom finally uncovers the crucial clue that will ultimately lead him to the real killer.
