Kim Ji-Hoon, a 21-year-old high school student, and Choi Su-Wan, a 21-year-old university student, share a unique bond. Su-Wan's family struggles financially, and her mother's business, a family-run chicken shop, is the primary source of income. To help her family, Su-Wan takes on a tutoring job to earn money, teaching Ji-Hoon, who is struggling in school. Ji-Hoon's parents sent him to study abroad in the US when he was young, which has strained their relationship. To avoid being sent away again, Ji-Hoon must pass his mid-term exam with an average score of 50, a significant improvement from his usual 8.0.
