Maisie Ravier, penniless and stranded in a small Wyoming town, flirts with Slim, the ranch manager, but is ordered to leave after he becomes disgusted. She finds work as a maid for Clifford Ames and his wife Sybil, but things take a dramatic turn when Ames is involved in an accident and Maisie discovers Sybil's infidelity. As tensions rise, Maisie and Slim confess their love for each other, but their happiness is short-lived as Sybil exacts revenge and Maisie leaves town. Later, Maisie learns that Slim is on trial for Ames' murder.
