Raju, a kind-hearted man who lives with his disabled mother, saves the life of a wealthy textile mill owner and is offered a job at his factory. He confronts the owner's ambitious daughter, Sheetal, who mistreats workers, and becomes the union leader. Raju falls in love with Kajol, another mill worker, but sacrifices his love to marry Sheetal after his mother agrees to the union. However, Sheetal's jealousy and Raju's dedication to the workers lead to tension in their marriage and a series of events that put Raju and the mill in danger.
