Rex Allen, the new head of the cattleman's association, leads the ranchers' herds to the nearest railhead, but their journey is disrupted by Brock Stevens, who owns the railroad spur line and charges exorbitant fees. When Rex agrees to sell his cattle to Brock at a fair price, the ranchers soon realize that the fees will eat into their profits. With no other option, Rex decides to drive the herd to the main line railroad, but Brock will crack down on them for the $10,000 feed bill they owe his company.
