During World War II, a Norwegian woman named Nicole Larsen is engaged to the German commandant in Nazi-occupied Norway. However, Nicole is secretly a member of the Resistance and has been sent to collect intelligence for the British. She uses her relationship with the commandant as a front to gather information and pass it to her contact in town, who sends it to London. As the Germans become suspicious of Nicole, her fiancé at first denies she could be a Resistance fighter, but later becomes suspicious himself and sets a trap for her. Nicole contacts London, and they send a British commando to rescue her and possibly kill the commandant.
