A whirlwind romance between a sportswriter and a fashion designer ends in marriage, only to reveal their vastly different lifestyles and interests.

Mike and Marilla, a newlywed couple, struggle to find common ground after moving to New York from the West Coast. Mike, a sportswriter, and Marilla, a clothing designer, are forced to navigate their differences when a mobster, who Mike has accused of fixing sports events, targets him.
