A family of three siblings, Cemal, Kenan, and Suzan, are reunited after 30 years when their father, Mazhar, passes away and leaves behind a peculiar request: to bury him when the butterflies in their village of Hasanlar die. The siblings, who have never met or known each other, must spend time in the village while waiting for the butterflies to arrive, during which they discover more about their father and themselves.
