Akira Sato, a renowned assassin known as The Fable, lives a quiet life with his partner Yoko, pretending to be ordinary siblings. By day, he works part-time at Octopus design company alongside CEO Takoda and employee Misaki, unaware of his deadly past. Meanwhile, Utsubo, an NPO representative, colludes with contract killer Suzuki to frame someone at Octopus for extortion.
