A hapless Donald is advised to laugh and count to ten when angry, and initially succeeds in calming down. However, his serenity is short-lived as he becomes entangled in a chaotic situation involving a caterpillar and a hen, forcing him to count to ten once again.

Donald learns to manage his anger by laughing and counting to ten, but his newfound technique is put to the test as a series of unexpected events unfold, including a chaotic encounter with a caterpillar, a mischievous bird, and a woodpecker's attack on his apple tree.
