Born in the vibrant city of Birmingham, Alabama, I embarked on a journey that would shape the course of my life and career. It was the year 1914 when I had the privilege of collaborating with Barre, a pioneer in the field of animation, as we embarked on a creative endeavor that would lay the foundation for what was to come. Little did I know that the world was on the cusp of a significant shift, as the United States entered the fray in 1917, joining the Allied forces in a global conflict that would have far-reaching consequences.
The years that followed the Armistice were marked by a sense of rebuilding and renewal. It was during this period that I found myself behind the wheel of a truck, navigating the roads and highways with a sense of purpose. But fate had other plans, and a chance encounter with a Ford would change the trajectory of my life forever.
As I emerged from the wreckage, I was face to face with none other than Walt Disney, the visionary behind the iconic Mickey Mouse organization. His vision was taking shape, and he sought my expertise to help bring his creative vision to life. And so, I received the call to join forces with Disney, marking the beginning of a remarkable chapter in my life and career.
