In 1951 USSR, a KGB agent discovers a mysterious stage show featuring lifelike dolls, which he believes will help the ailing Stalin cheat death. The agent kidnaps the show's host, a German Toymaker with a mystical book, and they board a plane to Moscow. But the dolls, now free from their stage, follow them and wreak havoc on the plane, determined to rescue their puppet master.
