Ultra-precocious 12-year-old friends Franny and Jamie navigate the challenges of their parents' impending and past divorces. Franny's father tries to hide his infidelity, while Jamie's parents have already split up. The friends find solace in each other and explore their budding curiosity about the opposite sex during a sleepover at Jamie's father's lavish bachelor pad.
