Rich Kids background

Rich Kids

Twelve-year-old friends from broken homes on the Upper West Side navigate their parents' complicated relationships and their own turbulent emotions as they grow up.

Ultra-precocious 12-year-old friends Franny and Jamie navigate the challenges of their parents' impending and past divorces. Franny's father tries to hide his infidelity, while Jamie's parents have already split up. The friends find solace in each other and explore their budding curiosity about the opposite sex during a sleepover at Jamie's father's lavish bachelor pad. However, their plans are disrupted when Franny's mother discovers a provocative book in her daughter's room, leading to a chaotic confrontation with four adult couples. Ultimately, Jamie and Franny learn to support each other through the difficulties of their family situations and consider the possibility of something more than friendship.
