A young woman, Mio, has been running a traditional Japanese inn in Nagano with her grandmother since her parents' early passing. When her grandmother falls ill and is hospitalized, Mio is forced to leave the inn and move to Tokyo to live with her father's old friend, Kyosuke. She finds work helping him at his bathhouse, gradually adjusting to city life. However, her new life is threatened when she discovers the bathhouse is slated for demolition due to redevelopment in the area.
