Vidar Sandem, a multifaceted Norwegian artistic talent, was born on February 19, 1947. He embarked on his theatrical journey with a stage debut at Den Nationale Scene in 1970. Sandem's professional journey continued at Det Norske Teatret in 1977, where he eventually rose to the position of theatre director in 1997.
Notably, Sandem has also made a mark in the world of film, featuring as the father in Per Blom's 1987 adaptation of Tarjei Vesaas' novel, The Ice Palace. Furthermore, he made his debut as a playwright with the one-act play Straffe-, which premiered at Fjernsynsteatret in 1988.
