Warut Woratam, professionally known as Oh, was a multifaceted Thai entertainment industry personality who excelled as a film and television actor, host, and model.
Notably, Warut's breakout role as Kobori, an Imperial Japanese soldier and protagonist in the 1988 film "Khu Kam", garnered him the prestigious Phra Surasawadi Award (Golden Doll Award) for upcoming male actor. He went on to star in numerous films and television dramas, solidifying his reputation as a talented performer.
One of his most notable hosting gigs was the popular television program "Ono Show", which he co-hosted with his close friend and fellow actor, Maethanee "Nino" Buranasiri. Throughout his career, Warut received several awards, including the 1992 Golden Television Award for best actor in the drama "Nai Fun".
However, his career took a downturn, and Warut struggled with personal demons, developing a heavy smoking and drinking habit. He sought treatment for his drinking problem at least once.
Tragically, Warut's life was cut short on September 11, 2018, after falling unconscious at his home in Chiang Mai. Despite being hospitalized and placed in intensive care for two nights, he succumbed to his injuries. Warut leaves behind two children, a lasting legacy to his memory.
