Mukhtar embarked on his multifaceted career in the entertainment industry, commencing his journey as a filmmaker in the year 2006 and subsequently transitioning into the realm of theatre acting in 2007. During this period, he honed his skills by directing music videos and short films, while also gaining valuable experience by acting in numerous plays.
This extensive background in the arts ultimately paved the way for Mukhtar to secure his breakthrough as a film actor, with a notable role in the 2016 film Janaan. Furthermore, he demonstrated his versatility by also serving as the cinematographer for the 2018 movie Parchi, in which he also had a starring role.
In the following year, Mukhtar made his television debut as an actor, starring in the Hum TV drama Anaa, a production that was penned by the esteemed Samira Fazal and directed by Shahzad Kashmiri. This marked a significant milestone in his career, as it allowed him to expand his range and showcase his talents on the small screen.
