In 2004, Seki received widespread recognition from the readers of Animage Magazine, who ranked him as the 9th favorite voice actor in their 26th Annual Reader's Poll. This achievement was largely attributed to his outstanding performance as Rau Le Creuset in the popular anime series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED.
Throughout his illustrious career, Seki has demonstrated his versatility by voicing a wide range of characters, often playing serious or easily agitated roles, such as Duo Maxwell in Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Iruka Umino in Naruto, Kaien Shiba in Bleach, and Genjo Sanzo in Saiyuki.
