Born in 1983 in the quaint, rural village of Mount Gilead, Ohio, Terence's early life was characterized by a strong sense of community and a connection to the land. As he entered his teenage years, he began to develop a passion for filmmaking, which would eventually become a defining aspect of his identity.
During his high school years, Terence discovered his love for filmmaking while working on various video projects for his classes. This newfound interest sparked a sense of purpose and direction, and he knew that he wanted to pursue a career in the film industry.
After graduating from high school, Terence made the bold decision to leave his small town and start a new chapter in his life. At the tender age of 18, he got married and began working as a manager at a local movie theatre in a slightly larger town in Ohio. However, this chapter of his life was not without its challenges, and after just three years, he found himself divorced and at a crossroads.
Undeterred, Terence made the courageous decision to enroll in film school, despite having to commute seven hours round trip, three days a week, to attend classes at The Motion Picture Institute of Michigan. To make ends meet, he worked at a small ice cream shop in Mount Gilead, where he saved up enough money to fund his first 16mm short film, An Exercise In Narcissism.
After graduating from film school in September 2005, Terence finally made the move to Michigan, where he began his career in the film industry. He quickly established himself as a versatile and talented filmmaker, working on a wide range of projects, from low-budget horror films to feature films shot on 35mm.
Throughout his career, Terence has held every position in the filmmaking process, from Production Assistant to Director. He has also made a name for himself as a casting P.A. on network and cable channel reality shows, and has even had the opportunity to work on projects in Detroit.
Despite his many accomplishments, Terence's directorial debut, An Exercise In Narcissism, remains one of his proudest achievements. The film has played in film festivals around the world, including the prestigious Berlin Film Festival, and continues to find new audiences.
In addition to his work in film, Terence is also a published poet and a skilled sculptor. His artwork has been featured in several gallery shows in Detroit, showcasing his versatility and creative range.
Through his many accomplishments, Terence has proven himself to be a talented and dedicated filmmaker, poet, and artist. His passion for his craft is evident in every project he takes on, and his dedication to his art is an inspiration to all who know him.
