Frank Sydney Box, a renowned British film producer and screenwriter, was born on April 29, 1907. He was the brother of esteemed film producer Betty Box. In 1940, Box co-founded the documentary film company Verity Films alongside Jay Lewis.
Throughout his illustrious career, Box produced and co-wrote the screenplay for the critically acclaimed film, The Seventh Veil, in 1945. This masterpiece received the prestigious Oscar for Best Original Screenplay in 1946. The screenplay was co-written with his then-wife, the talented director Muriel Box.
Box's personal life was marked by a significant milestone in 1935, when he married Muriel. The following year, they welcomed their daughter, Leonora. However, their union came to an end with their divorce in 1969.
