Santos's on-screen career commenced with a featured role in the South African drama Ayeye, a production of The Bomb Shelter. In 2015, she made her first significant film appearance in the independently produced Free State, starring alongside Nicola Breytenbach, Andrew Govender, Leleti Khumalo, and Deon Lotz, with Salmon de Jager directing. This was followed by her first lead role in the critically acclaimed post-apocalyptic film, Last Broken Darkness, as the female lead 'Rose', which was written and directed by Christopher-Lee Dos Santos and also starred Sean Cameron Michael and Brandon Auret.
The film premiered at the prestigious Sunscreen Film Festival in St Petersburg, Florida in early 2017, where Santos was invited to participate in the 'Women in Film & Voice' Workshop panel, alongside notable industry professionals Daphne Zuniga, Edy Ganem, Selenis Leyva, and producers Jennifer Gelfer and Thada Catalon. In addition to her film work, Santos has made cameos in the South African films The Jakes are Missing, directed by FigJam Productions, and Looking for Love, directed by Adze Ugah. She has also appeared in an episode of the American television series ICE, alongside Cam Gigante and Jeremy Sisto.
