Stephen Quadros' journey into acting began as a default path, having initially moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a drummer with the band SNOW, featuring Carlos Cavazo of Quiet Riot and Ratt.
As a drummer, Stephen achieved local success and radio airplay, even being flown to New York to audition for the legendary group KISS.
However, when repetitive hand injuries forced him to reevaluate his percussive pursuits, Quadros turned to acting, studying with renowned teachers Cameron Watson, William Alderson, Stella Adler, Milton Justice, Arthur Mendoza, Scott Bernstein, Michelle Danner, and Mark Haining.
As an actor, Stephen has starred, guest-starred, or co-starred in over 50 films and television shows, working alongside Hollywood icons Bryan Cranston, Kathryn Bigelow, Miles Teller, Nicolas Winding Refn, John Hawkes, Cuba Gooding Jr., Peter Falk, David Caruso, Blair Underwood, Traci Lords, and Angela Lansbury.
Stephen is also a skilled martial arts expert, specializing in kickboxing and mixed martial arts (MMA),with over 20 years of experience as a practitioner, teacher, and trainer.
His combined talents led to appearances in and as fight technical advisor for "Cradle 2 the Grave" (2003),starring Jet Li, Mark Dacascos, and DMX, as well as choreographing a fight sequence in the film.
Quadros was also fight coordinator/choreographer and 2nd unit director for "Pit Fighter" (2005) and fight technical advisor for "Exit Wounds" (2001),starring Steven Seagal, Michael Jai White, and DMX.
He co-starred in "Sworn To Justice" with Black Belt hall of fame member Cynthia Rothrock and guest-starred in a season premiere of the popular TV series "Walker, Texas Ranger", facing off against martial arts legend Chuck Norris.
Stephen was also a renowned martial arts and combat sports journalist, serving as a columnist and contributing editor for Black Belt magazine for over three years, with his monthly column "FightSport" garnering international attention.
The magazine was so impressed with Stephen's column that they named an entire publication after it, "Black Belt Presents: Fightsport, with Stephen Quadros", which debuted nationally in February 2002.
Quadros is well-known in martial arts circles for his role as host and/or television commentator for some of the largest and most successful fight shows in the world, including Showtime Network's mixed martial art series: Strikeforce, Pride Fighting Championships (pay per view),and Glory Kickboxing (ESPN, CBS Sports).
He earned the nickname "The Fight Professor" while commentating on a show in Japan for K-1 in 1998.
