Sophie Reine, a French film editor, was born in 1972 in the City of Light, Paris, France. She pursued higher education in the history of art at Paris 8 University, concurrently acquiring expertise in film structure and scriptwriting.
Sophie's unique vision and exceptional analytical skills have earned her widespread recognition within the film industry. When a project piques her interest, she dedicates herself fully to the director's vision, even when the editing process takes place across the globe.
In 2020, Sophie collaborated with renowned director Alan Poul on The Eddy, a Netflix series written by Damien Chazelle and Jack Thorne. Her most recent project, Passages, saw her working for the second time with acclaimed director Ira Sachs, alongside a talented cast including Franz Rogowski, Ben Whishaw, and Adèle Exarchopoulos. Passages premiered at the prestigious Sundance festival in 2023.
Throughout her illustrious career, Sophie has had the privilege of working with esteemed directors such as Michel Gondry, Laurent Cantet, and Cedric Jimenez.
