Richard Leonard Kuklinski, a notorious American contract killer, was convicted of five murders and subsequently sentenced to life imprisonment in 1988. The notoriety surrounding his crimes has led to the production of numerous documentaries, biographies, and a feature film, all of which are based on his interviews and the findings of the task force responsible for bringing him to justice.
Michael Shannon portrays Kuklinski in the 2012 film "The Iceman", which is an adaptation of Anthony Bruno's book "The Iceman: The True Story of a Cold-Blooded Killer". The film boasts an impressive cast, including Winona Ryder as Kuklinski's wife, Deborah, Ray Liotta as Roy DeMeo, Stephen Dorff as Richard's younger brother Joey, and Chris Evans as Robert "Mr. Softee" Pronge, who is renamed "Mr. Freezy" in the film.
