Osamu Kobayashi, a renowned animator and animation director, was born on January 9, 1945, in Fuchuu-shi, Tokyo. He is particularly famous for his work on the beloved series Magical Angel Creamy Mami.
Kobayashi began his illustrious career in the animation industry in 1963, when he joined Toei animation, a renowned studio, alongside fellow animators Tsutomu Shibayama and Hayao Miyazaki. As a chief animator, he worked closely with Shibayama on various projects before transferring to A production, where he continued to hone his craft.
In 1978, Kobayashi co-founded Ajia-do Animation Works with his long-time collaborator, Tsutomu Shibayama. Through his work with Ajia-do, Kobayashi has made significant contributions to the world of animation, solidifying his position as a respected figure in the industry.
