Olan Evart Soule, an accomplished American actor, left an impressive mark on the entertainment industry, boasting an extensive portfolio of work across various mediums. Throughout his illustrious career, he accumulated nearly 7,000 professional credits in radio shows and commercials, appearing in over 200 television series and television films, and starring in more than 60 films.
Soule's iconic voice work on television is perhaps most notably associated with his 15-year tenure as Batman in various animated series, which explored the fictional world of the "Dark Knight" superhero.
In his personal life, Soule tied the knot with Norma Elizabeth Miller on September 29, 1929, and the couple shared a 63-year marriage until Norma's passing on July 1, 1992. Their daughter, Joann, also pursued a career in acting under the stage name Sydney Soule.
Soule was an active member of the Masonic Lodge, holding the 32nd degree, and was also affiliated with the Los Angeles Show Business Shrine Club (Al Malikah).
Tragically, Soule's life came to an end on February 1, 1994, at the age of 84, due to complications from lung cancer, at the residence of his daughter, Joann, and son-in-law, Dr. David Henriksen, in Corona, California. His final resting place is at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles.
