Mike Weerts, a talented Dutch actor, was born on March 24, 1982, in Overloon. From a young age, he was fascinated with acting and comedy, often entertaining his family with his impressive impersonation of Urbanus. After completing his MAVO diploma, Weerts enrolled in the Sociaal Pedagogisch Werk (SPW) Gilde Opleidingen in Venray from 1998 to 2001, followed by the Drama Academy in Eindhoven.
Throughout his career, Weerts has appeared in various stage productions, including Route Soleil by Yvonne van Beukering in 2005 and Koningsmoord by Piet Arfeuille. He has also made a name for himself in television commercials, featuring in ads for prominent brands such as McDonald's and Douwe Egberts.
Since 2004, Weerts has been a regular fixture on Dutch television, starring in real-life programs. He has appeared in the soap opera Onderweg naar Morgen and had a guest role in the police series Van Speijk. From March 18, 2007, to January 30, 2010, he played the role of Danny in the series Voetbalvrouwen, airing weekly.
In addition to his television work, Weerts has also made appearances in music videos. In June 2008, he starred in the video clip "Impossible" by singer Joyze, and in July 2009, he appeared in the video clip "Slaap ik bij jou" by Robert Leroy.
In his personal life, Weerts married his long-time partner Willemijn van Daal on July 6, 2012, in Overloon. The couple has a son together.
