Michel de Ré, a renowned French actor and theatre director, was born on February 25, 1925. As a notable figure, he was the grandson of Marshal Joseph Gallieni, a prominent military leader.

In his personal life, Michel de Ré was married to Heddy Einstein, the daughter of the accomplished painter William Einstein, until 1950. Following their divorce, he went on to have a long-term relationship with the talented comedian Martine Sarcey.
