Memo Villegas, a Mexican actor and comedian, was born on June 26, 1987, and has been active in the media since 2006. He initially had a childhood dream of becoming a professional soccer player, but this aspiration changed when he played the role of Gaston in a school production of Beauty and the Beast in sixth grade, thereby discovering his true vocation.
At the age of 18, in 2005, Memo left his home in Toluca and moved to Mexico City, where he finished his high school studies and took a year to explore his artistic side, attending various theater workshops throughout middle and high school. This led him to pursue and obtain a degree in acting at the National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA).
Memo began his professional career in 2007, with a role in Julián Hernández's film, Rabioso sol, rabioso cielo, which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in 2009. He worked with the acclaimed director again in the segment "Atmosfera" from the anthology Sucedió un día, followed by roles in Días de gracia and México Bárbaro.
Aside from his theater career, Memo gained fame for his role in the comedy sketch Harina, where he plays an officer, performed by the comedy ensemble known as Backdoor. The video became a viral sensation on social networks within hours of its premiere, exceeding the expectations of all involved.
After the success of Harina, Memo's career took off, with roles in various productions, including Una mujer Sin Filtro, Cómo sobrevivir Soltero, El Mesero, and Netflix productions such as Narcos Mexico, Noche de Fuego, Historia de un crimen, Divina Gula, and El Último Vagón.
