Lucy Beaumont, born Lucy Emily Pinkstone on May 18, 1869, was a renowned English actress of both the stage and screen, hailing from the city of Bristol.
Her educational background consisted of attending a prestigious young ladies' college in Bath, Somerset.
In her illustrious career, Beaumont had the privilege of sharing the stage with notable actors such as Walter Connolly in The Bishop Misbehaves and Leslie Howard in Berkeley Square. She also appeared in the film adaptation of Berkeley Square.
During the 1914-1915 season, Beaumont took the stage at the Playhouse in New York, starring in My Lady's Dress. The following season, she was featured in Quinneys for part of the play's run. In 1916, she co-starred with Frances Starr in Little Lady in Blue.
On the silver screen, Beaumont primarily played maternal roles. Some of her notable films include The Greater Glory (1926),co-starring Conway Tearle, The Man Without A Country (1925),alongside Pauline Starke, Torrent (1926),with Ricardo Cortez, The Beloved Rogue, alongside John Barrymore, Resurrection (1927),featuring Dolores del Río, The Crowd (1928),with Eleanor Boardman, and Maid of Salem (1937),her final motion picture, starring alongside Claudette Colbert.
Beaumont's final professional appearance was in April 1937, on the popular radio program hosted by Robert L. Ripley.
