Anne Peichert, known professionally as Louane Emera or simply Louane, is a French singer and actress born on November 26, 1996. She gained recognition as a semi-finalist on the second season of The Voice: la plus belle voix in France, coached by Louis Bertignac.
Louane grew up in the French department of Pas-de-Calais with her four sisters and one brother, Bach. Her parents, Jean-Pierre Peichert and Isabel Pinto dos Santos, had a diverse heritage, with her father being French and her mother being Portuguese.
In 2008, Louane participated in L'École des stars, a French music competition. Tragically, she lost both her parents, her father passing away just three months prior to her appearance on The Voice, and her mother in 2014 after a long illness.
Louane's experience on The Voice was marked by her emotional performances, including a rendition of "Imagine" dedicated to her late father. She was eliminated in the semi-finals, finishing 5th to 8th, but went on to participate in an after-season tour throughout France.
After The Voice, Louane was cast in the movie La Famille Bélier, where she played the role of Paula, a 16-year-old who is the only hearing person in a family of deaf people. Her performance earned her a César Award for "Most Promising Actresses."
Louane has also had a successful music career, releasing her debut studio album Chambre 12 in 2015, which topped the French charts. She has also collaborated with international artists, including The Chainsmokers.
Louane's life has been marked by her experiences with loss and her ability to channel those emotions into her music and performances. Despite the challenges she has faced, she has become a talented and successful artist in her own right.
